in the dawn of daylight morning weeps snow like silence poise falls in powder glisten within exchange I dream squalls o’er my bed in motifs make head with patterns shifting take I whisper inquisitive inquiries ripple down corridors I feel them whirl against windows chill forming mist over frames transparency as though dawn had caught me and held me brief for reminisce in tell of early cleansing nature appears so lacy frail yet ever waits her destined fashion & when time is gone and paper withers life will loose its grace even spirit faithful that sweeps the stoop away cannot begin to alter dawn Speaking of ghosts, wouldn't you know here comes mine again... |

Marvelous! Especially the "lacy frail" line...love that image! I'm thinking about the luscious "cake" next door. The house looks as if it's frosted smooth and white with wedding cake frosting. The ground is a bed of smooth frosting as well with sugar sprinkles here and there (the blades of grass poking through)---not as divine as your lacy frail, but delicious just the same. Enjoyed reading this, the title, too! Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

I agree, Lee J...."fantastic write".. Also the poems form fits perfectly... The hourglass structure, the feeling of snow falling to the bottom instead of sand...and the relationship with the end lines.. Very nice __________ice/ford ><> |
