Morning returns by the window and the day's first thoughts begin again with you, all in the same breath my heart becomes full and empty reflecting upon my love for you, by now i've come to know that you're the wind that i will never catch, the dazzling colors of the rainbow, that dissolve as they are simultaneouly born, the snowflakes that disappear, while i try in vain to savor their ethereal taste upon my lips, by now i've come to know, that any validity given to us in the real world, could never parallel the storybook romance where you so lovingly let me write the story of us, by now i've come to know, that any man who fed my dreams, my heart, my soul, my imagination, over the last few years at a time when i so desperately needed this, is best treasured as the angel that saved me from falling off this ledge. |

This is a beautiful poem. Strong, week, suffrage, mild, kind, gentle, uplifting, sad, and happy. And all in one breath. It’s difficult to not revisit this writing over and over again. So much heartfelt emotion. Truly a wonderful write inkgoddess. JL |
