Lesson Learned

Laughter and music
Sadness and shame
Have all crossed my eyes
Yet, time is to blame?

Softness of shadows
Structures of steel
Boulders and earth
Are mine to reveal

Colors emulate life
Actions in living
Faith and giving
Yet, love causes strife?

What manner of speech
should be in the fruit?
The trunk of the tree
the branch or the leaf?

The seed is life giving
yet must die to its living
possessing all of its flavor
from earth’s nutrient savor…

Lesson learned
must first be earned…

The conflict between things, gives much wisdom...I see that you know that.  A great poem!

Those who are very smart
always realize every day
is a lesson, and always
something must be learned...

Even what we think we know
is always expounded upon...

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...and keep my promises...

From reading many of your poems, I'd say you have learned from your lessons in life.

Life, at times, is referred to as "the school of hard knocks". You are one who will one day graduate with honors!

Love & Light,
