Non Conveyance That gnawing hunger fills the mind in an early morning winter's chill. Always, decisions to be made tripping over flip flops that slide on and off with no real connection, nothing to grasp hold of waiting for that next slip, hoping not to fall...again. A New Year, with nothing new. Repetition, just an echo of yesterday to remind me that my life is just memorized material rehashed and paraphrased. No warmth today, at least not yet and maybe not even tomorrow, as flannel replaces the silks and satins and protects the untouched. Feelings that can't escape the unknown, too cold for tears. This one's for you and as always I am... lost in translation. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

Maureen, as always your thoughts are felt in my heart. My wish for you in the New Year is a new and exciting path to follow. Run ... don't walk. Hugs to you dear lady. Chris ~The soul that can speak through the eyes can also kiss with a gaze~ |

Very nice poem, Maureen! I feel the same way. But, the year has just begun. One never knows what may come. |

Maureen, I like your poem very much and can relate to the last verse, especially. It seems translation of my own feelings has always been a weak point. I envy the grasp you have of your feelings and how you express them in writing. May you have a better 2005. misc'e |
