Dear Diary, Do you remember when … … I touched on a cheek to implant a core belief, drew pictures in a mind to illustrate desire, and spoke of many needs in the confines of a dream? … I bent to better hear the fall of silent tears making patterns in the sand of far-off distant lands and how static in the air lifted up my body hair and brought under dispute my sense of reality? … I inhaled lovingly the pain of memory and kept it inside better able there to heal than alone in the cold of a hurting soul? … I held out a hand as a welcome to my land and poured a glass of wine I couldn’t drink alone while listening to the passing of these many years? … I lit candles one by one and watched them slowly die like the seeds of hope planted in the light of day never grew to produce all I was hoping for? Dear Diary, Goodbye! I know you’ll like the sea! Helen 1 January 2005 |

This gives me pause to wonder how many lines in a hundred years, were written, crumpled, thrown to the flames, or cast to the sea... Yes, this gives me pause... |

… I inhaled lovingly the pain of memory and kept it inside better able there to heal than alone in the cold of a hurting soul? Love the depth of your emotions, as well as the swirling effect that comes from letting go. Fabulous writing, Helen Dear~ Thank you for this~ |

Helen Maybe your diary will travel to someone elses hands, to be read and marvelled as this poem is. Made me a bit sad. |

Dear Martie, I've no doubt that my diary is travelling. I just hope it doesn't fall into the wrong hands but then again, no hands are wrong - we just learn from them. I try to think of things that way - doesn't always wortk though. I hope all is well with you. |

Tugged me in with this one. I could see someone at the shore with a note in a bottle, throwing it out to sea. Enjoyed the vision. JL |
