Sunshine caught me out with delicate words, identifying me writing chunks of ideas as separate poems that are draft thoughts using any pattern or words that seems to fit and maybe comes together later.

Lightly is a story of someone but he is only real in your head, your emotions, your thoughts, your remembrance.

Dave

Lightly

Love on barbed wire
Dancing prickles of thin substance
Movement on a warm thread
Balancing poles apart
In full orchestra
Violins playing
Mellow

On a soft cushion
We sprang
Bouncing for every expression
In an audience
Sated

On music we themed in some idea
That was an idea
On a hot stuffy afternoon
When cool was not the rule
For anyone’s jewel
For fool

To dance any image of jewel
In the face of ridicule

We were different

He never knew why the wild wind took him
He never knew why he rebelled
He never knew of playing away
He never knew why he must be away
He never knew why he left
He never knrew why be fought not to return

He never knew
The family blood matched their words
"O"
And he was a
"B"

There are no books I need to take for I may have memories at some point and they are distilled and carried.

There are no words I want to take with me for they had no meaning apart from your endeavours to find something to get away with.

I need no excitement to take with me when I leave for it stopped more than years I can remember.

I need no faith to take with me you crucified everything I possessed not including the spirit that you attack but can not conquer.

There is nothing I need to take from you because there is nothing from you.

All I can take is the feeling that having lost everything, I have got away lightly.

So

Lightly I spoke words that drifted thinly into meanings gusting squals on ice driving from A to B

Freezing surfaces heated to molten flashes of fear desire revenge to face relationships that dominated

Points echoed miles high creating a canopy of two encapsulated by many divided by all who could

On railways tracks junctioning to be seen for miles around criss-crossing between signals powerful locomotion driven to nothing more than the sounds of a click-clack

Where was the Old Oak that destroyed by rails driven by trains deadlines delivery that we side by side watched as we parted to meet again

On some station some destination some journey

Until another song offers the same but a lesser period for milking of passion, words and money

For my destiny

Distill all you may...
you ARE on a theme here...
and I hope you water it well,
and tuck in its edges,
only to shake them loose in a flurry
of write...

And who knows where it ends.

I will sit and allow the rest of the words to write themselves and tidy up.

Thanks Sunshine.

Thoughts flowing, with a lifetime of meanings captured within this stream.
Dave, I wouldn't be too concerned with how the words hit the page, for if they come out in unequal waves of thought...that's how life itself is.
