Storm Clouds gray Swarm a darkened night of dreams Hammering wet pavements With drizzling perfect expressions of red torrents of power Striking impunity energy sound colour words misunderstandings As gathering skies attack pleasure and innocence To echo mountains Driven wild With swarming fiery pestilent answers to a Sun’s day In a world Of eyes strength impotence dreams Echoing thoughts that in your eyes Of nothing Desiring nothing You gave all to nothing As heavy rain spins heroes to the courage You chose to ignore And ice crimson blue fire Lances a boil Of futility |

Thanks. I still have to acknowledge that the original came from the Duke of Cumberland in Parson's Green London as I watch a storm break over where Putney Bridge would be. I did include a failing love affair that I couldn't save in this, and the original was written 28 years ago. I still fail but as someone said "I am now older and wiser - I wouldn't tell you about it". Thanks Dave |
