Tsunami Few of us knew until this week A tsunami's might. An ocean earthquake brought no fear; It wouldn't see the light. We had no thought that waves would come To take so many lives; Sweeping babes from mother's arms And husbands from their wives. Thousands upon thousands gone, Too much to comprehend. Armageddon for the ones Who died before its end. How puny are man's efforts When God shows His true power. We only know we must prepare For that momentous hour. By: Joyce 12/28/04 |

The devastation is horrendous Joyce. The loss of life..umbelievable. Nature in all its fury. A well written timely piece. Thank you for this. In the midst of winter, |

How puny are man's efforts When God shows His true power. We only know we must prepare For that momentous hour. ~*~ Yes, it all reminds me of the mythical Atlantis, and how all of the city was devastated by "a tidal wave" which we now call Tsunami. Thank you for the memorial, Joyce. |

"...One will be taken and the other left..." ... this came to my mind while reading your poem, dear Joyce. May we be ready, yes! May love rise in our hearts ... Thank you for your compassionate words. Love, Margherita |
