In current reflections of my past
I see images of years        passing
in the progression of steps down
the pathway       of my life.

I walked with courage
as I faced   all obstacles
that tried standing in my way,
but with determination
I stepped right into    the sunrise
of each new day

and YES, I have fallen
a time or two
      each time arising
       with strength
and keeping in view
the belief and promise
of to thine own self     be true.

At times the fall
was harder than others
      to this there is no doubt
but that's what taking more steps
     is all about;

from the very first step taken
       taking each one at a time
stumbling, yet standing
and still willing to try
to walk the line;

and walk into the future,  I did
putting thoughts to ink
through the passage of time
       often times leaving
the seasons of        my journey
in writing through words
of written rhyme.

Without fail, I'll continue to travel
this road of new days dawning

another year older
perhaps still,
no more the wiser.

{title suggestions anyone? I HATE doing titles..}

The greatest beauty on earth, is
found in the hearts of those
who love....

I love this! And "new days dawning" is equally positive. I would use these words for the title ...

the senece of our clock watching

Dark it is odd that when I graduated from school...(how many years ago!!) my senior yearbook said exactly that....
the future finds Donna living life the way she wants.....
