Wandering the stalest path
of my inner mind...
Cold wind rasps on stormy tides-
and I feel you,
fingertip soft
against my skull...

Illusion?
Mayhap the mayhem
has been installed?
(I slept too long)

Beneath sooted lashes,
frozen sticky from you-
I beckon this breach
of insanity
In purloined view
of myself thru your eyes...

This virginal shell-
Veined in short crosses,
Bonds the link of suffrage...
When broken-
by sentences so short
I could fall from the edge
If you care
to invite me
outside...

Momentum lies heavy
as I blind-grasp for grace-
heavy on time?
I've run out of space...
space to search freely
on my sentiments of you-
the will to creep silent
into raw interlude...

But I do.

I run.
run from you, from outside-
On soft wings of thought,
and return to the sanctum
of my mind, My eyes.
As I sigh...
and flounder for inside.

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

you sing the paradox:

:I could fall from the edge
If you care
to invite me
outside..."

to

"and return to the sanctum
of my mind, My eyes.
As I sigh...
and flounder for inside."

smiling in the knowing and happy happy you are here.

Miss you old friend.  Wish I had been here more often.  Excellent write.

And when you remember me...remember my deeds and not my words.
