OUR TOWN
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

+*+*+*+*+*+
A luminescent moon
crowns the tops of snowy trees,
And all is still and silent
in the mid of winter freeze.
The hooting of an owl
rings so clear thru’ crystal night,
As landscape shimmers in the rays
of luna's silver light.

A hush has fallen o’er our town
that lies safely sleeping,
For angels guard and watch o’er us
in angelic keeping.
Spirit lights are twinkling in
deep skies of indigo,
Tranquility and peace surround
the town in loving glow.

Harmony and bliss prevail
in each and every home,
Full of love and understanding
~ where no one stands alone.
There is a soothing cadence
to the rhythm of our town,
~It wakes with each rising sun
and sleeps when sun goes down.

A luminescent moon
crowns the tops of snowy trees,
And all is still and silent
in the mid of winter freeze.
The hooting of an owl
rings so clear through crystal night,
As landscape shimmers in the rays
of luna's silver light.

Linda - I could picture this perfectly and it was a lovely winter pleasure - you put such heart and magic into your words, always lifting the reader's spirit - such a wonderful gift -
