I Watch

I watch the waters lap and fold
The clouds above turn into gold
The odor of the morning dew
That lifts me up into the blue

I revel in the dawning’s scene
That seems a dream within a dream
An ache that fills my heart with awe
And chills my mind with primal raw

I wallow in the swallow’s flight
The turning and the end of night
The lifting of the flowers head
To wake my soul that slept like dead

The glitter of the dew on green
The wonder of the awesome scene
The over all that fills my mind
The gift each morn for humankind

The variations come and go
Within this garden of bestow

Beautiful lyrical.
I always discover after I read your work that my lips were moving...allowing the magic of your words to fall from my lips.

It's amazing how awesome the scenery is, if only we'll take the time to "see" it. Thank you for inspiring me to look ~~!   *S*
