Silent are the streets on Xmas eve folks drive off for family dinners except for ones with layered coats in every other house lies a winner losers move their shadows off abandoned streets onto a crowded guest hall treat might have been a converted suburban mall another generation has its stay of wealth It's a silent night creatures do stir days run into a nightly blur a fortunate soul chances on a town hall doors decked in wreathes streets further silenced that eve... Glasses are raised to honour there is a stranger in their midst someone who knew to budget his crumbs fought the hated label of deaf and dumb It's a silent night the stranger had no stocking had the courage to veer towards the hall might have been a suburban mall fortunate to chance upon one celebration that may be his last time goes by so fast |

I try my best to show the ugly side of humanity here; love and understanding are missing on the grand scale of things and that is what Xmas should be about... season's greetings and a happy holiday too..  |
