Sitting here, listening to the wind hearing the voice inside wanting, forgetting to say those words but always thinking them.
Wishing to take back my years to rediscover the colors of the rainbow that used to wrap me fluorescent, allowing me to "shine" and be the better me.
Like those logs going up in flame, I see my past burning, secrets that even I don't understand, feelings that need those soft whispers touching me again ( smiling as I call myself a "touch-tone" generation.)
Forgive me for the lack of words. It is hard to push the failures down, feeling second hand and trapped in this body.
Thoughts haunt me, tempt me as I reach into my pocket and there I can warm the cold of hard, a worry stone, where fingers rest, where words are only thoughts and in my keep.
M

ooh, I love the feel of this, the language woven is superbly...you do need a "d" on "use" for "used to..."
your last line is so true, yet it makes me think of how often we need to NOT keep some thoughts for they pull us down rather than lift us up, to release them can release usWhether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

failure is such an ugly word. learnures is better. We learn where we are not successful..and then we do better. But we have to get up and out in order to do better.

Maureen, sometimes our memories are good and cheer us up..... other times, they aren't so good and pull us down. I understand this so well, sweet lady. My thoughs and prayers are still with you,

Maureen, some memories are for keeping, unfortunately not all, for they are the ones that'll bring us down.

A touch tone generation---interesting concept! Amazing how those moments escape us to become ~memories~....emotion packed!
