In Summers Kiss I Knew Thee Love From ashes let the phoenix rise, For love I’d sensationalize, O’ winged beauty thou holds my heart, I beg thee tear it not apart. In summers kiss I knew thee love, And walked a path ‘twas undreamt of, Yea rainbows tinted shadowed skies, Laughter sparkled from your doll’s eyes. Then winter swept in from the North, And passions’ fruit blossomed not forth, There’s diamond tears froze upon cheek, My heart has been cloaked by mystique. Yet spring must burgeon forth anew, Birthing the flowers that withdrew, O’ Heaven’s there on silken thighs, And kisses are not but good-byes. I wish that I were holding you, Save ‘tis but recall I cling to. Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history! |

Such a softness in this, a poignant write Kevin. I think many of us can relate to this feeling, this wishing for something we can only have in memories. Still, memories can bring a feel of warm, even on a foggy chilly morning. |

Kevin, this is a beautiful poem. I know how this longing feels. Even though it isn't a romantic longing, it still hurts. I haven't seen my daughter for many years. But, thank God, we are now communicating with each other on the telephone. It seems like around the holidays and birthdays and stuff it almost breaks my heart to not be able to see her. If I didn't have the memories of when she was little and until she was 19 years old, I don't know how I would cope. But, like you said in this poem, I do feel there is a "Spring Time" coming soon. Hugs, my friend Ethel |

O’ Heaven’s there on silken thighs, And kisses are not but good-byes. In this world of all too often harsh reality, it's wonderful to know even amidst the anquish, beauty lives via poetry. I felt every word and isn't that what's it about! ~Atov |
