With Each Passing Day

I sat here listening
to songs that remind me of you

Oh how my heart does ache
remembering a love we once shared
and wishing we had it again

The holidays come and go, and
I am filled with such sadness
without you here to share
such a joyous time of year

My life is filled with loneliness
Sometimes I still miss you
But, I know, after all this time
we are really and truely through

As each day comes and goes
the ache inside my heart
lessens more and more

Yes, with each passing day you will miss him less and less.

It is easy to idealize someone whenever we feel lonely ~ especially during times of the year like Christmas. But, you my friend, are growing in so many ways!
