Pita bread, ideal for a wrap
meat protected by a fold over flap
the tissue of life was to stay the same
but enveloped flesh grew into remains
for the flax oil imbued linen cloth
was a fair choice to turn away moths...

but nothing lasts forever except inane desire
with nothing to quell the itch for immortal fibers.

Would I could conserve a moment
preserve the quality of my flesh today
like mummy linen cloth out on display
like a scribes hands anointed
like a wrapped priest appointed
how we worship longevity today
shortness of life is shooed away

but nothing lasts forever except inane desire
with nothing to quell the itch for immortal fibers.

Beautiful Martin.
Love this one.
Makes one feel the emotion that comes from
within the words or least it does me.

:-)

Within this heart you'll find love

You're very thoughtful...much appreciated
am still concerned with the apathy I mentioned to you earlier...
