Like Venus on a rock cake We plaster flour, fat and water Watching a soap opera design A maze As we flounder In taste Of stewed dumplings Served by waiters Still waiting Destroying the plots Of vegetables Manured for flavour Seeding currents of Next season's Rain In a makeshift kitchen That never throws fat or food To a nubile cook Who is heated By something Where life Happens for an hour And the image Looks the same But is supposed To be armless And beautiful And thought |

Thanks for the comments. Things were getting through to me and it seemed easier to just write some nonsense that made me stand back for a few moments and laugh at myself. Dave |
