If this day
is not to be
when birth or boatman
comes for me,

as yet unchanged
let my being... still alone

learn and teach
that being still...
is quite enough
for gratitude.

Very zen-like. Objects in motion tend to remain emotion or something like that. There are reasons why still equals peace (and too their waters run deep).

I read once that when found in a difficult and even dangerous situation if one withdraws into himself and does so purely that he almost becomes invisible to the danger. I had an opportunity to practice it once and it worked.
