Dawn writes light announcements, On the book of darkness, as it closes Making bright the tar partition; Sands the eyes, of owls and bats, Makes alley-cats, seek homes to doze. Same so, night blooming flowers Fold up their petals, to rest; As lovers rise from sweated sheets, To take quick-showers and dress. I am a moth, this summer evening, That finds your scent alluring. Drawn to the fire of its decant, Just past the hush of sundown, My sweet Corvallis, lovely flower Full of bloom in lunar light; After warming Chardonnay. has swept away All shyness and your need to blush. The fragrance of a day-lit rose, Is paled, by your extruded pheromones. Lovely Primrose, think not you By day a weed, no!, not so! (my opinion, speaks) although Your night perfume does wake My lightly slumbering libido; So I cast a verbal vote, A write-in ballot (poem) that states "always, that you glow" At work or rest, with foot note "Need to touch is raised"; When moonlight plays enchant refrains, And your lusty features sing to me Deep arousal serenades. Though your "no" is poison Moon lit bell, Datura, Whose body art Is like the fish that puffs, To richer Japanese... We can talk if you wish And be serious (my Cereus) About feelings of the heart; But I hope someday to be the chef Who cuts the foul parts from your flesh, That other men have left at their depart. This is beautiful Ford. I have a night blooming flower in my garden.. not sure of the name so I call it my magic plant or moon plant. Leaves are like a dandelion...bloom a bright yellow.. and they bloom at dusk..could this be one and the same? Lovely write...much enjoyed. Hugs~Nancy |

I'm smelling a night blooming jasmine (in my mind), and seeing a datura, through the eyes of O'Keefe. thank you, Ford, for these pleasant visuals and scents |
