This Caress of Love

I can't help myself,
when I look at her
hair hanging there
I have to brush it
from her cheek.
Like something precious
wanting to be touched,
wanting to be caressed,
wanting to know my love.
And I give it softly,
and I give it freely,
and I give it eagerly,
thanking God for thinking
of me, and blessing me
with this caress of love.
