Fragile is the rose compass dwindling Notes in meticulous scripts Fills a knapsack of bottled green Headlines to masses Pockets lined with oddly-shaped whites Interlinking arcs, entrusting the arms of art Forth once more, only to bar again Collegian given man, swathed in symbolic leaves While… Dogs come close sniffing, soundless perverts… On three legged screens…oh the madness Scribing rungs worthless Like razor sharp teeth of traps Frizzing apart free standing pillars Rust spreading like a contagious cancer Mixed feelings nurture scarecrows Discouraging what will soon be picked clean A craft so fine and stylish, painting windows shut Folding clothes inches from the face of death Images walk with dark figures watching Wearing blood spilled mind-set Gangs of every ethos, stand on the kitchen porch Fixing themselves pay dirt, making ready Blocking out vitamin C And the moons of Dante` Digging grave-like channels Re-naming flowers into etched tombstones Moving on long trains to field hospitals Where clinics will perish…and has begun Escrow the impulse of generosity~ For the hand in which your names have been written Trades a fading dress, stuffing the world into a pillowcase For the heads of blueberry skies, selling peanuts Tracing down dates Conveying messages in sacks Handing out cabbages and sliced meat What better way to lead the poor? Bare trees will vomit excrement, lighting fires Where rings of stone, lost consciousness Picture frames around long legends of time Will burn the steel of doctors, dreaming roots Stuffed men from 5 fonts of the world Inching up monstrous thoughts to the thighs of perspective Fog rues the silent marching armies Unfocused fingers feeling through the dark Sunken roads lodged in the minds of men Working tongue against oak of a now halved body Boiling people alive, where history lied… Children sucking on lead painted windows Fingernails shedding apart wall paper Nervousness and embarrassment, swap blood for wool Intimately and distasteful, eyes stand complex Setting fire to ladders and concrete cites Soon, no one will wear a mouth Stabbing Midsummer Night’s Dreams In the back, over commodes, contaminating oceans Where the ground has been glowing Like a king’s rook, moves to possess So to, shall the uphill marching of grains Till nothing is left…Eating everything in it’s path With the four corners of it’s mouth Bubble wrap clings to the meat of a big white house Fitting pieces together of bloody despair Eyeballs believe the scenes Blue-coated play rights cutting out maggots Wandering through a network of crows Quickly forming agents Of misfortune, passing out Indianhead coins Just to prove they could Throwing carpets over clotheslines to air While we pay $400.00 a month to the trustees Playing the piano of emotions to the beat of material handling [This message has been edited by LeeJ (10-18-2004 10:27 AM).] |

I think I am just going to go build a cabin in the mountains and live off the land (what's left of it). I enjoy reading your pennings as they give much reason to ponder life in the purest of forms. Afterwards I am reminded to look at the beauty that God has gifted us with and wonder why mankind finds it so easy to take it all for granted by creating faux "everything". Give me the natural and give it to me simple. Excellent write. |
