Living's Spice/Life's Season...for want of a better title

Living’s Spice/Life’s Season

sprouts
buds
tendrils
breaking ground

seeking
light
moisture
warmth

buds hatching
tendrils vining
sprouts reaching
both above and below
for life’s nourishment
life’s water
life’s blessings

blossoms bursting
fruits and veggies
quenching longings
of the upper end of the food chain

heat registering
double to triple digits
vapors rising
to dry the mists
of living water

flora, fauna
tiring, expiring
fading into the soil
recoiling from the cool
relinquishing spent energies

resting
incubating
within the womb
of Earth’s protective shell
until the well
of living returns
inviting birthing pains
beneath the rains
and the call to renewal
