Call it love
in the pulpy sieve
between heartbeats,
soaked to the hollow
of breasts pressed to bone,
whose tones now elude me,
call on love
to lay on open wounds
some emollient simile,
cleavage of hazelnut flesh
tucked in the deep comas
of the lotus moon,
as it heaves its silver light,
seamless over mines of silence
and wild conundrum, a verdict
to strum the dreaming soul, numb
to its honeycomb flesh, hues
of cocky silks and milky
visions now muave and tender
as fresh bruises peruse the Road
strewn with roses, roses
wild with loss, in places
where the split morrow
by one sorrow, lies hewn
in the dark, but not the dark
that was ever dreamed,
call it love, given
over to the lean body's
natural inclination toward
betrayal, as it wakens
in a caterwaul of dying,
between two hearts, this
urgency to beat the words back, is stacked
against the moonlight's resonant sequitur.

I wish I could just leave a beatific smile.

But?

When I grow up I wanna write just like you.

You're like a huge magnificent fish, with universes living on your scales.

(that's right, call me barnacle)

watching you do this magick

a "wow"

again

Mari, you will teach many here how to swim   in the wonder of words I am sure.  Whatever you put you pen to is solid gold.  Can't wait to buy your book, the last one, and the next one!

Don't believe Aenimal..he saw your sexy picture and is becoming an animal...he's probably already headed over to the mature content section just to fantasize over your picture there....(words with pics really get him aroused).....Like I told you before, I'm the quiet-wall flower type and just kind of stay to myself, write very subdued terrible poetry but I watch over all the young innocent gals here for predators like Aenimal).....LOL

"Don't believe Aenimal..he saw your sexy picture and is becoming an animal..."

shows what you know Toe, i'm always an animal and while i won't deny there's a certain aesthetically appealling quality( how clinical was that) to the photograph i really do mean what i say about your poetry. i mean, you've seen Toe's writes, we're desperately in need of talent to offset them.

"Like I told you before, I'm the quiet-wall flower type and just kind of stay to myself, write very subdued terrible poetry but I watch over all the young innocent gals here for predators like Aenimal).....LOL"

predator? lol yes my carnal conquests are legendary. wallflower? subdued? you know, it works better when you don't burst out laughing at the end Toe

See?...I told ya so?...Oh wait, I can't say that..actually, though Aenimal crackers and I disagree politically,,,,,(I'm right and he's confused)....he really is a nice guy and though I hate to admit it...I do admire him somewhat...(he also agreed to fork over the one dollar bills for the strip club if I drove)......but seriously, (something I usually always try to adhere to)....welcome to passions gal...and despite Aenimal..you'll probably be pretty safe here....If he ever asks for your phone number or home address though...don't give it to him..(give it to me...I'll make sure it's okay to pass it on)....

Your feel for word tones is exquisite -- something worth studying...and applying once the study's done! Good stuff here...very good.

You know, ALL I did was reply to a poem. Slaps forehead. Before I huddle all fetal like in my corner from embarassment a few things

All apologies to babygirl for the thread hijack(a common occurence when Toe is involved, like his favourite politicians he's sneaky, underhanded and lies alot)

muted it's seriously high time you got that laser eye surgery already

and Mysteria, you remember the pic i had up, unless hottie means 'looks like an escaped mental patient' , no

*apologizes profusely and huddles in his corner never to reply to poetry again
