Agate shores play
soft shell music
feet step light
on holy ground

eagle feather
raven wing
kingfisher cry
o’er salmon Sound

evergreens in
mountain rain clouds
water sings
Lashootseed tongue

black hair shiny
canoe paddles
honor elders
totem song

D’suq’wub
my heart lives here
in place of clear
saltwater home

Oh great leader
friend of white man
Chief Sealth
can you
hear my drum?
