Have you ever had a friend that knew just the right things to say when you're feeling like you're slightly off the deep end, one fry shy of a happy meal, and too many times you've been told you're too much work - yet in his words you find comfort that perhaps, maybe, it's all okay to be the neurotic poetic manic depressive that makes you you? I am blessed to be surrounded by many such friends, but his words, I just had to put into verse.I think this describes many of you - 'cept the last stanza . . . but perhaps you wonder too. I am art, he says Complex Richly hued I am true depth And texture feel Worth the work Required of the complicated And the patience- For when I weep Dove like tears A master piece Of impressionism More then defined lines A mosaic of beauty These are his words And I cry with the acceptance But wonder too- Is it true? s.a.t. Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

Your warmth and friendship means so very much to me. It is easy, I think, to get caught up in the views of art critics rather than the nourishment of the appreciation of those who truly love art. And here, on these pages of blue, what beautiful art is rendered by each beautiful soul, themselves a work of art - thank you for your kind replies.  And Dark - you can call me any name you like, just so long as you call me  (ooooh, that was bad, huh? Hi Susan, it is lovely to have friends of such...confidence allows them to see beyond themselves...they encourage us to see ourselves as we truely are...these people are diamond gems who live to see others smile and will be there for you, when others reject or feel it necessary to put you down. These people are precious blessings, and you should listen to him... None of us are perfect, especially me...hehehhee, but when someone gives me a compliment...I'm taking it...hook line and sinker..cuz in our culture today, these kind of compliments come few and far between. Believe it, savor it, feel it...you are significant!!!! hugs me |
