this poem is about war and society. it's not very good, it's not polished, and i don't really want to do it. :-) i hope you enjoy it nonetheless. Those Who Will Not Burn It’s like a video game, Tanks crawling across the dirt With shrubs and hot sun Seeping from the cracks, And fuzzy screens with bright Colored-coded blurbs, Bouncing bright and bursting, Advertising to the soreness Of ever-weary retinas, Of bunnies in their holes, Plushy, fear-stricken, Shaking in the soft of their fur. Our big bucks must stay. Their big bucks must go. It’s like a video game, And plastic pushed to metal Makes the moving, roaring sound That sprays down ground and Shoots up sprays of dirt. Save us please, from all the Crawling, sneaking, prowling wolves That lurk within the night. They hide within their packs, While we stand true and just. Open and fair, we take the young And throw them in the grid, Throw them in and tell them Exactly what to do. The pack is one wolf, And only the paws, Young and strong and coarse, Need to be dirtied. Soft fur that will not go And taint its lavish glow, Those who will not burn Will sink into their sofas, Will die on greasy bags Bubbling in the stomach Of the beast they hate and love, That oh so comfortably Pushes all our buttons, A God that demands sacrifice. |

Wow, that struck a chord. Do you ever feel that this crazy world is nothing but a giant executive toy on the desk of a Superior Being? |
