I often wonder,

is it me who finds them
or are they the ones
that purposely seek me out?

withering in obscurity,
april's bloom still stands
half looped,
in october's drying fields,

i tug at its stem
expecting resistance,
but it frees itself willingly,
loose as a baby tooth,

beckoning that i send it,
off to infinity
where it could relinquish its self,
on this day when the breeze
still blows tender,

i stop myself midway,
out of breath right now
rendered a bit wishless these days,

getting ready
to endure the uncertainty
of yet, one more winter,

we grow in eachother's shadow
little dandelion,
dancing as partners
beneath the wind's choreography.
