the world sighs a breath of relief with me
as you leave through the front door
and yet there's still tension
there's still pain

sibling rivalry
isn't that what it's supposed to be called
isn't that the norm
you tell me

these tears didn't come on there own
you brought them with you in your purse
all grown up
out of my life

and you act like it's my fault

you say you love him
a 32 year old
oh my sister
you're 18

thanksgiving dinner with a women you hate
a women my our father loves
silent words across the dinner table
ending with bathroom tears

these daggers that fall out of your mouth like air
bought with money
that's how i am to you
that's how you see me

and this is how the night ends

the world sighs a breath of relief with me
as you leave through the front door
and yet there's still tension
there's still pain..

Owie - what for some is a most wonderous time, for others carries such pain - my heart to yours, and may the balm of healing be yours-

Susan

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
