In A Melancholic Dream

In the shy sunlight of spring,
I sit amongst the fruitful hills of the wilderness, still never alone
Nature sings her songs of plenty,
But the hymns of blessing can't strip the black that is my demise
A demise that is beyond words of description
It paints the forest, the hills, the sky, with darkness

I now know that weeping hearts bleed the darkest when stabbed,
But they're forgotten by all when summer nights blaze the sky
Except, not by me...
I'm haunted by the lies I've told, the pain I've become
When I sit and wait for the dragonflies to enchant the summer eve,
Flashes, glimpses, of the past strike me, stabbing me in the heart

Spring to Summer when I bless natures beauty,
I loath the impurities of man
Fragile hearts break and can never be put together
I'm paralyzed by tragic recognition and I know,
There is no closure in Spring and Summer

A powerful write, very well done!
And it's surely a coincidence that I should read it after replying to ecrivain's "Forgiveness" ...
If this is about you, I wish you to be able to come out of the tunnel, leaving the place where you reside "A Melancholic Dream" and to step into a brighter future, where love is felt anew in your heart.
