Silence By: Noah Eaton 10/8/04 . . . . . . . ...questions, they all come spinning, around your head... . . . ...sometimes it's hard, breathing on your own, we feel our lungs mold into clay... . . . ...and when you spin around, searching for the voices in your head, they all bleed together... . . . ...hallucinations fill your mind, and you can't tell, if you're speaking to God, . . . and I would, if I could, break this silence... . . . ...if you can speak first... . . . . . . . . . ...you're ashamed, to look in the mirror, as you're vomiting distress... . . . ...watching illusions stare from behind, see you undermined, lost in the search of an answer... . . . you're sick, and you never realized it, until you were infected... . . . I can see you're afraid, afraid to step out of the shade, and break away... . . . and it's OK... . . . . . it's OK... . . . . . . . . . . . . LET IT OUT, . . . give it all away, . . . LET IT OUT, . . . give it all away, . . . FAITH IS AWAKE, FAITH IS AWAKE, FAITH IS AWAKE, . . . and silence is speaking... . . . . . . . . . . . ...you're in, a crisis of faith, and it's hard, to distinguish white from grey... . . . ...spirits stand like strangers, where you lie in bed, you beg them to leave, but you summoned them in your head... . . . ...they all stand straight, you're waiting for an answer, they say nothing, you feel the spirits no longer are speaking... . . . ...but the moment they disperse, they can see the tear, falling to your pillow, from the face you tuck away... . . . . . And I would, if I could, break this silence... . . . ...if you can speak first... . . . through this blindness, . . . through this darkness, . . . through this madness, . . . through this iridescence, . . . THROUGH THE DESOLATION, . . . THROUGH THE ISOLATION, . . . THERE COMES CONSOLATION, . . . SILENCE MOVES FASTER, WHEN IT'S MOVING BACKWARD, HEY, . . . . . LET IT OUT, . . . give it all away, . . . LET IT OUT, . . . give it all away, . . . FAITH IS AWAKE, . . . FAITH IS AWAKE, . . . FAITH IS AWAKE, . . . and silence is speaking... . . . . . . . . . . Tapping on your shoulder, as you sleep, is only the wind, of my voice... . . . . . answering... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "You'll find something that's enough to keep you But if the bright lights don't receive you You should turn yourself around and come back home" MB20 |

Yes! "Silence is speaking." Get still and you will hear it. I love this line so much, Noah. Yes! Our answers come from silence. Great work. Patricia |

...spirits stand like strangers, where you lie in bed, you beg them to leave, but you summoned them in your head... **************** Very much enjoyed this entire tapestry of silence and the above verse just stood out the most for me. Very much enjoyed. |

As always Mistletoe, you have touched my heart. Just reading this poem almost sends a tear to this lonely lover's heart. I feel these words as if they were my own. Love is all that comes from within whenever I read any of your words. Yv-Goddess of Her Domain. Symbol of Truth Passion Pain. Let Her Smile Rain on the Hearts of the Innocent. |
