A once beautiful china doll |

There once was a beautiful china doll cool to the touch, reserved, placed on a shelf to gather dust layers and bemoan discontent to the walls. Hastily cleaned one day by love she casually slips from it all and falls to the floor of insanity rolling, rolling, towards the door. Out the door she stumbles and trips unmindful of wind through her hair till called up short by forces unknown she lands prone in the gutter of soul. Down comes the rain, it doesn’t wash out crazy patterns of hallucination or settle the shadows in corners to pout and wish for her safe return. She’ll never get back the same as before for destiny, fate, or just bad luck, has peeled off her glittering parts and she now is a poor imitation of a once beautiful china doll. She lies to this day in the gutter of soul not yet immune to cold shoulders but time will decree space in the sea for remnants of civilization. Mementos, treasures, china doll, me, and the sea as protector of memories simply grows with the force of it all! |

Helen, you've woven much wisdom of heart within this china doll story. A keeper for me, to ponder again. |

Thank you all so much for the read and your nice comments. Perhaps the secret of life is to feel ALL things and heartache must, I suppose, fit in there somewhere. |
