the silence like the sunrise, he is there to greet me bringing wisps of freshness to the otherwise silence that goes in one ear and out the other a touch of tenderness from a distant shore of thought a reflection of time in hopes of betterment and I stray there missing the day that turns into tomorrow time seems stolen as the caring drains when I close my eyes and see those dark paths ahead wishing for a hand to rest in mine and share the walk I don't believe in clichés anymore, "time heals all things" and " you have to love yourself first before being able to love another" nor the most repeated of all "you can only count on yourself" (there are no white knights) I hear that "codependency" word so often I can breathe its existence, but letting someone hit bottom can most times take you down with them... and there are choices and more choices with time lingering, then slipping away my heart hungers for a taste of more not out of neediness (as some would like to suspect) never wanting the feel of love to be forgotten it seeks inspiration from out, mutes its design of want accordingly trying to make its worth, living it is the Autumn of my life, more than half over living the soaps without the touch rewinding old movies like an aphrodisiac to my sensibilities feeding me what has been lost from abandonment the past can never change the present...a crushing blow the future...filled with meaningless clichés M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |
