Here I stand Stroking the genius Of a black raven Floating or’r the town Is it fate that curls the winds? That temps man Groping panorama views Of the women in me? Why can’t we be friends? Gnawing away at the pounds Of meaning, the child? I grasp its immortality Is it not allowed? Just as is, to be? Listening to the songs of Perfect mirrors? Pure and Trusting Childbirth of men has sensitive eyes Instead… Hormones stroll at the sight of soft tissue Becoming conquest in the place of care for Stroking the Narcissistic mind for mere moments? Taking what isn’t theirs, with no thought of cause Or tomorrows Where is the genius of the Gods? Why don’t they look back, just once? Before themselves and how they Cut the wings of breath, leaving them Shedding and cracked in pools of blood Damaging splendid things which cannot run Pits rotting as shades close hiding precious ones Self-imposed surges in the name of spring? Instead of reaping forgotten games Which slay and perch such ripple effects? Throwing rocks at the child Slapping their face Beating their bones Forevermore, forevermore! Culture should knit stability Cursed in moonlights light for mere moments Hot arms burn hearts They trade a culture fair…leaving in its wake Three or four now broken eyes to drown Laying in the dead of winter’s wheat To walk alone, to bear its grief Shifting blame to excuse actions? To excuse their lust of sensations I cannot reform to rotten sheaths Or trim the soul of budding flowers Neither should you! What is happening? Where are they going? What of the children, for God’s Sake? What of the children in grown adults? Who is the adult? That runs around naked exposing their breasts Leaving imprints in fashioned role modeling Gender becomes trendy…instead of holy lace Who turns from unacceptable behavior? Standing with Abraham between their teeth Do they not see soft petals of thought? How delicately woven, how fair the masterpiece Consider the child who might be 22 Or 44…or 5 years old What beast gnaws at the flesh of another? In the name of spring, in the name of one moment Who can stay in the moment of forever? In the name of value, if not for self Then for the little ones What do they have to mimic, to worship as blessed? Curse those who harm the child For the sake of a moment of warmth That Child is my heart My flesh My bones My soul Here I stand Stroking the genius Of a black corporate raven Floating or’r the town Written after witnessing rape after rape after rape! What is rape? Degradation of character, lust for money or flesh Adultery, idolatry…. Mankind is loosing respect for laws Respect for another’s sacred growth Allowance of another’s rights to freedom Respect for their neighbor’s successes Greed Teaching our children, it’s all about hunger for desires At whose cost? How far can we go, before we temp the beast To kill, we salivate like dogs, we hold an invisible Gun to the heads of children, our friends, families Tearing a human being from limb to limb Leaving them to wallow in the mud Who will help, to sew each limb back on? After damage is done? They will never walk again, as before They’ll be beaten and broken forevermore Yet, they still believe, they still give their trust Placing their hearts in the hands of those Who would rather fill their bellies with feast? Think before you react Please…think before you lust The hearts destroyed could be your own child within….. |
