Faultless Bravado For the weight of an army pressing against me – I would raise my hands and give thanks for the test. Sight of their lines rallying to assault me would give substance to trepidation and dissolve all misery. In the glimmer of each lance I would applaud the sunlight's confirmation - faultless bravado – standing tall without stagger to meet the rush. But one can only dream – reality, debasing as it often lingers finds my battles lodged within. A vault of lost love (my own soul) ensnares all hope and paints me void of passion. Mercy's unyielding favor – It passed me by the day I crushed your heart. Robert Joseph 100304 [This message has been edited by Robert Joseph (10-04-2004 05:02 AM).] |

You display a passionate understanding of self reckoning. This verse, each line, couples with the one before and after as a life chain...a perfect title chosen. The final lines swallowed hard. TD |

Ow. Poignant, well drawn, sorrowful. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |
