The black walnut tree tried to attack me today in a hail of THUD KERPLUNK SPLAT!!! as the majestic tree began to drop its bounty upon the street alongside my car fortunately, I moved with the grace of a gazelle or a startled young filly, dodging these nature bullets as they fell alas, my neighbor didn’t move fast enough and now sports a cold pack upon his bruised dome and all the time, it was the volcano we had been watching for fall out. |

This gave me a much needed smile today Kacy.. and reminded me of that old old story..'the sky is falling..run henny penny' lol. A friend of mine has a black walnut tree and it plays havoc with their lawnmower. Hugs~ ~Autumn..the year's last, loveliest smile.~ |

I love Oregon, we try to visit relatives there every summer. But do keep yer eye on the volcano, she's gonna blow. BTW, a nice write too, I like your humor and insight. Billy 8) |

Kacy I did a little search on black walnut trees. Seems they are dangerous to other things, not just humans. I enjoyed your poem and the opportunity it gave me to learn something. Stay safe! |

Thanks, Martie. And yes, they are bad news for horses as well. |
