Far from where I am going

we embraced upon a wood floor
within a sea of rhythmatic motion
andante funk grooves
playing just to be ingnored
the realm has changed
to focus on you and i
tonight

step to step
hand in hand
hip pressing against hip
swaying to the beat
a hazy room clears
as your eyes meet mine
what angelic eyes they are

Weve had our feet stepped on
plenty of times
we've steppped on our fair share
but tonight our movements
fluently flow free of inhabition
it's just you and I

a minute exerpt
from the song of our life
lasts for eternity in my mind

(This poem was inspired by another posted on this forum earlier by the name of "Mambo." Let me know what you think.)
