Just a Note By Larry Chadwick Mostly... In a sense it was our last time together, at your graveside. As we lowered you into the ground I pondered the prospect of leaving my heart there with you. Then it occurred to me that you were done with yours and so I chose to keep mine and take yours with me. But I left for you the flowers because they were from all your friends and family. My flower I dropped a petal at a time on your casket to remind you my heart was broken. But in taking your heart I seem to have mended mine. I thought you should know. September 30, 2004 If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Thank you so much for posting this... I'm sure it was hard. Your strength and love for her shine through in every word. I only wish that having written this meant the pain was less, but I know how the hearts melding leaves a scar and a constant, painful, ache. This write? It aches. ![]() Always, Alyssa He was a man of sorrows ...I am a girl of tears. |

Alyssa, You are the best. You are always so sensitive and kind. You hae a healing touch. Thank you. Last weekend I heard a passing remark from somebody, I don't know who, about leaving their heart at the grave. But it didn't work for me though it sparked some good thoughts and deeper emotions. Bless you for noticing the nuances. And this really doesn't represent my theology, only my feelings. ![]() |

I have no doubt the knowledge came across even without a word being said. Tender, loving, and complete. |

know the feeling Larry, although for a sister... in 5 days she would have turned 62.. only three months have passed and when I visit it doesn't get easier...especially since the ground is still not settled and only a plastic marker is there for now. Larry, we(in our family)leave behind a stone to show we were there...mine, these beautiful river stones...others with words like love, hugs and missing you from family members and friends and arrowheads from those who knew and loved her from her many years in boyscouting...same as flowers only they remain ( just a bit of info) enjoyed your thoughts... ![]() M |

How utterly honest and giving...realistically knowing, that she not only knows, but would have wanted it that way for you...When you love someone, you wish them further prosperity.... Beautifully written and felt, thanks so much for sharing |

Writing is a healing balm to the tender heart. You hear a words spoken or you see someone do something that touches your mind and heart in the most tender of ways. This is aching poem filled with loving tenderness. Thank you for sharing BonBon ![]() |

Larry~ These tears flow ... but they should ... for that is what remembering is all about~ I've come to believe that our tears fall to dilute the sorrow~ ![]() Beautifully moving is this~ Touching the core of me this day~ *Huglets* ![]() ~*Marge*~ ~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost, |

Marge, Tears cleanse our sorrow, our anger and even our frustration. But mostly they renew us... And thank you for your tender understanding. ![]() If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |
