Fogged in again,
pushing away the light of you.

I stooped down low to the ground
in search of your footsteps;

barefoot thoughts sink in
as push of earth cups the moment

in remembrance of you,

you,
always touching lightly whenever you tread
upon this heart

even when I welcomed

much more,

you stepped quietly,

passionately feeling

the sacred ground

that only gives so much
before it becomes

hard as stone from
too many heavily weighted dreams.

The fog suits my mood today,
as grey softens the harsh look
of blinding stark reality.
