Dusk illuminated a small window Silhouetting a lamp Lighting the way To love and respect Warming a path Of return To a lost one Following a heart’s desire Calling light As a beacon To echo through the darkness Through the torrent Sending a signal To break The quietness Of one who waits Breathing life Fulfilment To spirit his strength To rest in your shadow Matching your feelings And understanding Welcoming the return Of one he lost |

The words are mine but I stole the images from Charles Dickens - of a father who lived near a North East beach and placed a lamp for his daughter enticed away to be used, in the belief she would return to his love and see the lamp to come home. I dont think that has ever stopped, although the freedom to make your own mistakes matters as well. Thanks Dave |
