Today I sat visiting with you for awhile,
I talked about all the things that have
happened since you have been gone.

You listened as you always have.
I was quiet as I heard your words
of wisdom come to me once again,
enduring through time....

I told you how much pain there has been
since you have been gone,
how so much has changed
since you have been gone.

As the wind blew
I felt your fingers touch
my face,
I heard you say be strong,
do not cry.

I smiled, said Thank You
for always being here,
for always being the one
I can count on.

I stood up to leave
although I wanted to
stay longer. Thank you for
the memories I treasure,
I said as a tear fell from my eyes
and I kissed the flowers
laying them on your grave
saying Daddy, I love you....

{I still miss you Dad...Happy Birthday...}

The greatest beauty on earth, is
found in the hearts of those
who love....

Oh, sweet Donna, this touches me deeply. Yes we can count on them, always!

Wonderful write, the love you share is profoundly felt.

There are surely adequate celebrations "up there". Your love the gift.

Thank you.
Love, Margherita

Donna,
This touches me.  I lost my Dad when I was ninteen.  Birthdays and holidays were really tough, but now I'm able to smile and laugh at some of our corny memories.  The pain is no longer, but has been replaced by peace.  Over time, that'll come to you, Sweet Donna.  Meanwhile, I'm wishing you well.

and the tears will water the flowers and the flowers glisten like jewels holding their tears upon their petals and your dad will know you love him
