The How of Soap

From the charcoal of old springs
Lies the soap of many things
It washes down the skin of ire
And cleans to white lost gray desire

An oddity but is quite true
That rain and charcoal make this brew
And I have used this soap of pride
To wash the echoes from my hide

I use this source of nature’s power
Scent it with a flowers dower
Wash the spirits of past play
Cleanse the rue of yesterday

An ancient recipe my friend
It brings within a better end
A bath that washes skin and sin
From without and from within

It may not bring you to the door
But surely cleans your inner core

Amen Kiddo, consciousness feeling whispy, capable and calm
reaching for the two small hands of a newborn
smiles and huggies
Howdy Sy.... and good morning

Enjoyed this a bunch, Sy.  One of the things I remember when going to Grandma's house was her lye soap.  Oh my goodness-sandpaper soap it was!  If anything could clean sin away, it surely could!!!   Enjoyed.  Thanks for bringing back those memories.  The nice thing about that soap is that it removed the old and dying skin, leaving the new skin in its place.

Wash the spirits of past play
Cleanse the rue of yesterday

This sounds like a far better choice than my wallowing. *S*

I like this very much, dear friend. *S*
