The Lime of Mortar Building blocks of sands of time Mortared with the bands of lime Holds this sage of tumbleweed Imprisoned in an age impede The lime wears faster then the block Each passing swing of tick and tock Dissolving with the music’s fife Each spring that plays upon its life A tank with just one door I see Holding fish that swim with me Feeding threads of evermore The wonder of forevermore And though I catch the breeze of bail I cannot pass horizons sail It’s on and on a needles thread Until I pass alive to dead And here the process of each when Fills the needles thread again |
