As the days grow shorter And autumn comes to call, We say farewell to summer And welcome in the Fall. The air at night is cooler, Dew glistens in the morn. Farmers till their fields And pick last crop of corn. Pirates, ghosts and witches In costumes of pretend, And trees ablaze with colors At each October's end. Chipmunks and squirrels, Gather nuts to store away. Farmers pick last crop of corn, And tie up bales of hay.
