Scarleted Bellona fingers clenched 'round the cold of death and trembling at the icy touch of justice twisted-- Even you, hostile-handed deity, shiver at the shifted sight of moral martyrs dying for a vision skewed. The olive branch is burning in poignant fires of ignorance that dance in the eyes of men who stifle truths whispered in their souls who stifle truths etched in their religions. What do the ambered rivers prove as they tumble o'er lands conquered, tumble o'er lands freed--perhaps they show that either way-- we've lost so much and gained so little. So, scarleted Bellona wash your hands of savagery let pensiveness constitute bravery and simple answers fall aside... For enlightened men can find a better way. Hey everyone, once again, it's been a while and I apologize for that.College is hectic.I hope everyone is doing well. ~*Krista Lee Knutson*~ |

Krista - How wonderful to find one of yours in here. As usual, you are teaching us not only how to expand in poetry but how to expand in thought also. Very insightful piece with a very powerful message in it's content. I truely enjoyed very much. Thanks for taking a break for us from the books. |

I'm keeping this. Hope you do not mind. ![]() If I were to touch you, would you bleed a velvet river, running miracles through the sodden ground? --Moi |

You have your own opinion and the images and excellence are excellent It reminds me of listening to a Liberal Lord in London after the Lord Mayor's show I took the debts on for a charity after whatever, 18 comittee ran out. It was turned round but the words are superbe and someone else paid the cost Maybe I have misunderstood the words - poetry is about words. Dave |

You've been missed. Don't remember much from you in this style -- you're writing has definately grown (since last I caught it anyway). |

Enjoyed ..... yet truth is always simple. It is an art though to share it with simplicity. Thought provoking, well written piece. Love, Margherita |

Even in the ages now, history is on a constant roll, repeating itself...will mankind ever grow beyond what is past...into the intellectual new age of non-material A poem well worth the read, deep, profound, superbly written! |

Enjoyed the title on down. You'd think everyone could put 2+2 together about battling, but unfortunately they haven't, threatening peaceable people... This is very thought provoking. I wish I had the answers! miscellanea |

Hi everyone, thanks for all the wonderful comments. My life is so crazy and instead of paying attention in my Shakespeare class (which I guess wasn't so bad because we don't really talk about shakespeare...), I wrote this poem. Bellona is actually referenced in Henry IV, which is what we were reading at the time. Thanks once again for all the kind words! ~*Krista Lee Knutson*~ |
