In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2004-09-22 10:52 PM

I would be the soul at rest
when the stars die out
words of a love song --
tender terms to fill
the chamber

yet --

      now I have only words
these: words

watching October slide
into her array of color
and dance in rain to
finer music

I am one, that always falls weak
when earth pulls  rain down
to meet the bends of rivers and roads
or spin the inner moons of earth
with simple pleasures of sand and salt
or wait for the echoes of deep

{should I dare touch the memory of blue--}

I looked for vases to fill
but the ache reminds me -April left
the aspens bending, begging for yellow

      still their leaves fall
and grace is among them
~
I wait like stone for the
moss of your hands
to lead me in  dance

~~**~~

{Greatly Inspired ..Muse Dedicated}

~~*~~
Read between the lines
look deep into each word
and you will understand the
depth of my soul (GE)

Exquisite Lauren - simply exquisite.

Lauren,
Wonderful weave of nature and emotion. Yes indeed there is much between these lines and I think I saw your soul. How sweet it is.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

So many seasons ago, I was the epitome of you.

If I were to touch you, would you bleed a velvet river, running miracles through the sodden ground? --Moi

Have I told you lately just how lovely you truly are?

If not then shame on me.

Your mother should have named you Grace.

But then, smile, I named my daughter Lauren too...her middle name, but still she has grace as well.
