As shroud of mist settles on mountain high, A stillness and quiet hush blankets all. The whispering wind giving one last sigh. The towering fir stand guard, proud and tall, Protecting and nourishing life below. Their dark green boughs wearing vaporous shawl. Peacfulness prevades throughout Nature's show. A sense of well being it does convey. Wonder and joy in generous bestow. I can only marvel at such display, As I stand there feeling humble and small, Basking in the awe of Nature's array. As shroud of mist settles on mountain high, The whispering wind giving one last sigh. "always be true to SELF, and follow your heart.." |

ES West I have been to Mountain High....if it the one that I am thinking of, I live on the other side in the San Gabriel Valley. A pretty place, especially if you like to ski! I enjoyed your descriptive poem! |
