When I Leave

When I leave I’ll leave a flower
It has more power than a stone
I’ll leave it in the morning’s dower
To touch you when you’re all alone

I’ll leave you with its grace of awe
Covered in the morning’s dew
To look upon its beauties store
No greater gift can I give you

For a flower holds a true suspend
It grabs the senses all in one
It gives you pleasure to its end
Nectar that is never done

And e’er a sorrow would you cry
Within the now and then of store
I’ll take it as a simple sigh
And wish you well from out its core

Take the flower dole it well
This is where my soul does dwell

Smiling with you...I remember a Michael
Martin Murphy song about a flower...

only it had a different ending...but you,
you made me think of it, and smile.

Good Sunday Morning, Sy!

A poem surely to be treasured by your Isabel Belle. You are so loving and sweet. You have the soul and the heart of a poet ~ and I suppose that is to be expected from a poet's poet...

By the way, dear sonneteering tumbleweed! You better stick around for many more years! This may be selfish of me, but I need my daily dose of your poetic offerings!

Lovely write ~ from a lovely man.

To eternal love & Light,
EA

Sunshine
You are shining in my room today.

Earth Angel
With sunshine streaming in my room
And you upon the harp
I would not think to use the broom
And wrap me in a tarp.

Nancy
Black current tea would be just the thing
this morning.

Sigh ... Sy!

Your tender heart shows so beautifully here in these melancholic lines.

YOU are the flower she cherishes forever ...

Love, Margherita

Seymour~

I will hold your flowered words
as beauty in the knowing
That wherever you might be
I would someday be going~

Until we meet again
in the garden of after-flowers
I will treasure the word-scent of you
as I traipse the poetic bowers~

And in the beauty
you have left for me
I will know that I have known
a flower from the heart of thee~

Marge,
To me you are a special flower
With hugs that hold a special power.
Your words and picture flatters me
And if I can they'll go with me.
