but they smile ...

it's a string ... bound between legs
and heart
thighs of want
  eyes of untrust
hands and heart raw ... flesh words
stroked
   and beaten
o f f
  from (censor) yous to
(censor)
me over
i stand on the shore of displaced
misplaced misfits
whose stockings wear holes that
run with mascara days down to
blooddrawnpuddles
where the sockets to skulls hold
my secrets
those times when only i hear their
voices they cry they cry
i soulcry heartbleed and reach for
  empty
i ... am
    empty
my arms ache for the fullness
of light but the dark
the dark is heavy and it suffocates
and i choke on yesterday like blades
how it cuts
over and over i scream to no one
shadows can't talk ... but they smile
    and tomorrow hangs
on the end of a rope

note to mods: this is not about suicide or cutting. but about coping with (or rather, the lack of) rape.

Snow - this cuts deep and echos the cries of the soul.  My heart to you.  In my own family I see a member coping with such dread, anger and hurt - would that no one should suffer so.

I'm sorry.

Well I see you doing, What I try to do for me, With the words from a poet, And a voice from a choir, And a melody, nothing else matters. ~Stevie Nicks

Sad but scenes that play out everywhere.
You gave voice to those who are suffering with
the pain.
Great job Snow.

I could feel the passion and feeling in this one... You did a wonderful job conveying the emotion... I give you "props."
