Listening to every heart

Come Soon, Dark

All days begin early, only some will greet green moments
before the rise; some will have a visual of our sun, intensifying…

but so many miss this, though not I.  I wait for sun to shed herself
of yesterday, taking me into her dawn, and more.

There are good days, and some days where one might wish
they could just *poof* into oblivion,
when things moved too fast for a moment’s notice;
and all things came at one so rapidly, that we wonder,
did we even breathe?

Come, soon, dark…

for I do not intend to wish my days away, no, no,
I do not want time to slip through my fingers
like air through my hair,
tussled and mussed, with no consequence…

nor do I want time to stand still…

but some nights, some nights…
there is the comfort of dark…shadows that feel warm,
moments of reflections, inspection…but somehow?

Never rejection.  Never rejection…

Oh, come, soon, dark…

Come greet me with twilight, and highlight
the memories of my moments of this day,
find in them the good of me, stroke well the thoughts I should keep,
help me dismiss those that would ulcer my mind.

Oh, come soon, dark…

Come to me, Hypnos, then, I beg, send Morpheus’ arms to hold me,
allow him to image my walking dreams into those times
that would let me greet morrow’s sun with a nod of understanding,
a beatific smile, a full heart.
Come, dark…bring shadows of warmth, take me into morrow’s light.

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...

Yes, there are evenings when I wish for the
darkness and peace as well...
I know exactly what you mean,
especially after a very busy day
when you don't remember stopping to breathe.
Hugs Hip-Sis.

Karilea, this piece is for all of us to enjoy each moment and a lesson to calm down.

Many a time I've wanted to go 'poof.'

Huggles, Marti

Karilea

"but so many miss this, though not I.  I wait for sun to shed herself
of yesterday, taking me into her dawn, and more."

Each new dawn is a new beginning, and yet the peace and rest of dark, in shadow's hold
is what makes the new day brighter.

Love the beauty of your words and thoughts, as always, sis!

to understand and believe, submital and acceptance...of what is, patiently waiting for those wondrous moments to paint themselves across our souls....yeilding the deep green grasses of flow
This is what you've inspired this morning
continual motion coaxing us to join her journey...lovely write

Soon....one of my favorite words -- at least, when it comes true....

You create just the right feeling, of movement and anticipation.

This reflects so many days that are here and gone before we know it.  But yes, the peace of night has its own draw.  Well said.  KJ

The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

You know Karilea, I am one of those who some days can't wait for night to fall and then when it is night, can't wait for the sun to rise...and yet I am standing still...

sighing~~

Oooooh - one of my favorites!

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Dang! You are too good at this,  making me
hold my breath briefly...and then letting
it out slowly, savoring a moment of words
that have blessed my mind....

Thank You Sun...for this and all you give
us...

kayjay and I latched onto the same stanza...

There are good days, and some days where one might wish
they could just *poof* into oblivion,
                         when things moved too fast for a moment’s notice;
and all things came at one so rapidly, that we wonder,
                         did we even breathe?

but I have to say, too, that there are some nights it is important for me to remember and believe that "joy comes in the morning as His mercy is new." Otherwise the pain in the darkness and the unknown would be too great.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
